What We Like About Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800JEXL
There’s a lot to love when it comes to the Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800JEXL.
For starters, this juicer is capable of a tremendous yield as we just mentioned.
Being able to get 20% more juice (and sometimes even more) from the same raw ingredients as you would with other juicers is a game-changer. Your juice healthy, nutritious juice is going to be a lot less expensive thanks to Breville.
Secondly, this juicer is capable of turning a whole apple into delicious, fresh, foolishly healthy apple juice in just a few seconds.
It’s not just fast. It’s really (REALLY) fast!
If you want to slow things down a little bit and squeeze every drop of nutritious juice from your ingredients, or are working with particularly fibrous ingredients that need to be juiced slower, you can “downshift” to a low RPM setting as well.
This is a much more deliberate way to juice (and bump up the yield) – a win-win across the board.
The oversized feeding shoot can’t go overlooked, either.
You have 3+ inches of clearance to squeeze pretty much any ingredients into your juicer raw and unprepared. You can fit a whole apple into the mouth of this juicer, that’s how big it is!
(Just as a side note, though, we’d recommend you halve that apple before you toss it in. It just makes for faster, better juice).

What We Don’t Like About Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800JEXL
This is not to suggest that Breville is all sunshine and roses, though.
Because this juicer is so powerful it also is a little bit on the louder side of things.
When juicing at higher speeds you also have to be mindful of the extra oxidation that occurs. This means the juice you produce at higher speeds is going to have a shorter shelf life (usually 24 hours or so) than the juice you produce at lower speeds.
Finally, while this juicer can handle leafy greens (like spinach, kale, etc.) it takes a little bit longer to extract juice from these kinds of ingredients than other options on the market today.
It also won’t do as good of a job as a (much) slower masticating style juicer would – however, I would not recommend that style of juicer for a new user or someone that wants something quick and easy.
Those are something to think about, anyway.
